ACUPUNCTURE

• We are excited to have two doctors offering acupuncture.  Dr. Engel studied with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and is currently working toward certification.  Dr. Kottke is an IVAS certified practitioner. 

BACH FLOWER CONSULTS

• Based on the formulas created by Dr. Edward Bach using fresh blossoms of plants.  The essences he created are a natural and non-toxic method of addressing inner levels of the life experience.  They are used to treat the emotional and mental conditions associated with physical symptoms.

CHINESE HERBAL CONSULTS

• Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient healing art.  We are pleased to offer TCM as a complimentary or stand alone therapy.  It is an excellent compliment to acupuncture and is often used by Dr. Engel and Dr. Kottke to support the patient undergoing acupuncture treatments. 

EQUINE DENTISTRY

• Keeping your horses mouth healthy can help him live a healthier, happier and maybe even a longer life.  The horses diet and eating patterns have been modified through domestication and confinement, resulting in the need for periodic examinations and regular maintenance.

 GROOMING

• Deb Hage is our pet stylist.  She has had over 17 years of experience grooming animals.  Deb studied at the BowWow'sre Grooming school in LaCrosse WI.  She ran her own business "Deb's Doggie Do's" in Westby, WI for 11 years, prior to working for various vet clinics in the area.  Her grooming methods are calm and soothing, she uses natural restraints only when necessary and rarely resorts to muzzles or sedation etc...  She has even been called a "pet whisperer".  She is very particular about grooms and how they look. Deb thinks of grooming as an art form and likes to sculpt to "Purr-fection".

 HOMEOPATHY 

• Dr. Engel studied homeopathy under Dr. Richard Pitcairn.    

• We offer homeopathic consults for small and large animals. 

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

• Nutrition plays a big part in keeping your pet healthy and happy.  We use nutrition as the starting point for all treatment plans.  Nutrition plays an important role in disease prevention and allergy management.  The right diet can help with skin issues, digestive problems and even some behavior issues.  Starting with a meat based food and staying away from grains -like corn and wheat- are an important first step in providing a diet that keeps your pet healthy and in peak performance shape for anything from couch surfing to climbing Mt. Everest.  We can assist you in creating the right diet for you and your pet, whether it is making a healthy homemade diet, choosing a commercially prepared diet, or anything in-between, to fit your pet's health, dietary and activity requirements.

VETERINARY SPINAL MANIPULATION (VSM)

• Dr. Engel is certified in VSM by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).  She studied under Pedro Rivera at the Healing Oasis in West Bend, WI.
