Rising Sun Animal Wellness Center uses an integrative approach to maintain the health and well being of your pets. We provide conventional, homeopathic, and holistic veterinary care for small animals.

Conventional services include routine vaccinations, exams, diagnostics, x rays, routine surgeries, dental work, weight management, allergy related issues, behavior concerns and more.

Homeopathy has been used successfully to aid allergies, respiratory problems, skin problems, urinary tract and kidney problems in cats and skin problems, allergies, G.I. problems, injuries, bone problems, and behavior problems in dogs.

Dr. Engel has also been certified, by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, in veterinary spinal manipulation (VSM).

Dr. Engel and Dr. Kottke both practice Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).  These modalities can be helpful in any number of areas and often require several repeat visits.

Through Dr. Engel's practice of veterinary medicine and continuing education, she has experience with most routine and many not so routine small animal concerns.  Dr. Engel is also able to tailor her practice around the clients needs and interests.  She will be able to assist in treatment conventionally, holistically, or integrate a combination of the two. 

Dr. Engel carries a variety of herbal supplements that are able to help when traditional therapies sometimes can't.  She believes diet also plays a big role in your animals health.  We offer a selection of high quality foods which include frozen raw diets. See a listing on our product pages.
