Acupuncture is here!!!

Dr. Engel is currently taking a class in Acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS).  We are also lucky enough to have Dr. Janna Kottke, an IVAS Certified acupunturist, consult with Dr. Engel while she is learning.

Rising Sun Now offers Traditional Chinese Medicine!

Dr. Engel is now offering Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  TCM can be used in combination with other therapies or as a stand alone treatment for many different health issues.

SMART DOG CLASSES!!!

Rising Sun AWC, is excited to be working with Shirley Richards.  Shirley has many years experience working with dogs in obedience and agility.  She has worked with 4-H as a training instructor, judged for county fairs, obedience and agility matches, is certified as a Therapy Dog Evaluator and registered to evaluate Canine Good Citizen tests.

Shirley believes in positive reward training so bring lots of treats!

We are hoping to get another class going in the spring.  At this time we are offering a Puppy Socialization Class and a Basic Obedience Class.  In the future, and based on interest, we are hoping to be able to offer agility classes also! 

Puppy Socialization

This is a 45 minute class that meets once weekly for six weeks.  Puppies aged 8-16wks are invited to attend.  Vaccinations should be current and appropriate for the puppies age.

Basic Obedience

This is a 45 minute class that meets once weekly for eight weeks.  Dogs aged 5 mos. and up are invited to attend.  Rabies and Distemper/Parvo vaccinations are required for all dogs.

Both Classes are held in our Equine facility located just minutes east of our Clinic on U.S. Hwy 56.  Dates and times have not yet been set.  If you are interested in joining us please call (608) 637-2227 or email us at risingsunvet@mwt.net for more information.

We now offer a new alternative in Equine care. Our facility dedicated to Equine health is located just minutes from our clinic on U.S. Hwy 56. This clinic is equipped with a stock and allows us the opportunity to offer a haul-in facility for regular vaccinations and bloodwork as well as Veterinary Spinal Manipulation, Equine Dentistry and Ultrasound.  So load up the horses and we'll meet you there!
